Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse who is passionate about improving the lives of those affected by dementia? This is a unique and exciting partnership between OSJCT and Dementia UK!

You will be offered many training and development opportunities to get your career started with us, including continuing development and partnering with Dementia UK. 

Location: Wiltshire Region (with regular travel to our care homes, mileage paid)

Salary: up to £39000 per annum

As part of your role you will provide specialist dementia nursing expertise to our carers and families of those who are supporting their loved ones living with dementia.

You will provide clinical advice, support, liaison, education, training. In addition provide clinical supervision where required to our care teams, actively contribute to the development of practice, policies, procedures and protocols relevant to Admiral Nursing.

About you:

You will be a Registered Nurse with post registration experience of facilitating training in dementia and/or care of older people with mental health needs. You will have experience of working with groups and individuals in a variety of roles and settings, including family carers or supporters of people living with dementia.

For this role you'll have the ability to work autonomously within the national Admiral Nurses’ Competency Framework as defined by Dementia UK and the Royal College of Nursing, you will also be highly motivated with excellent teaching, organisational and communication skills.
