Property Category Manager 

Salary: £60,000 per annum DOE

Location: Oxfordshire

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working 2-3 days working across OSJCT trust sites. 

About the role

We are looking to recruit for a new Category Manager to join our Procurement team. The Category manager will be responsible in aiming to delivery financial savings and to implement a procurement strategy for spend in categories in their scope.

 About You

You will be a qualified Procurement professional, with experience in the development, drafting, structuring, negotiating and managing of supplier contracts. Other skills and experience required include:

  • Driving implementation of and continually reviews procurement strategy with key stakeholders thereby ensuring alignment with business direction thus enabling OSJCT to achieve its medium to long terms goals.
  • Ensure OSJCT builds and maintains expert knowledge of the key supply markets under control.
  • Develops relevant supplier relationships that will aid the delivery of OSJCT’s strategy, drive innovation, continual improvement and best practice.
  • Maximise the ROI on the OSJCT spend with third parties
  • Collaboration with the business and through project execution, that agreed project targets are delivered to time and budget.
  • Educate stakeholders on the supply base and the market in order to drive maximum benefit and preferred supplier compliance.
  • Works with the business/key stakeholders in promoting and delivering effective contract and supplier management practices.
  • Manage risks and ensures value for money through effective negotiations and putting in place appropriate contractual relationships.
