Practice Development Nurse – Flexible location – Regular travel between Oxfordshire or Gloucestershire, (with occasional travel to Wiltshire or Lincolnshire) and home based working.

£36,000 – 38,000

37.5 hours a week

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Development Nurse to join our Care Quality Team, reporting to the Head of Quality Improvement. We are looking for someone who is passionate to driving improvement in residents care provision, providing the best outcomes during their stay. As such you will be enthusiastic about learning, with the desire to support individuals at all levels in our diverse nursing workforce. You should be comfortable teaching on a one to one basis and leading small groups. 

You will be a highly motivated experienced nurse who is up to date with current clinical practice and be enthusiastic about learning, teaching, assessing and developing clinical colleagues, including newly qualified nurses and be familiar with supporting UK based overseas nurses achieving their NMC pin.

The postholder will have excellent communication skills and work in collaboration with Trust managers, senior managers and external educational providers to support our nurses with developing their clinical skills in line with best practice and NMC guidelines

The successful candidate will must be able to work both autonomously and part and as part of the wider team in making a real difference to the quality of care for residents by ensuring the ongoing development of our valued nursing cohort.

This role can be based at any of our Head office sites – Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or Lincolnshire. Travel will be expected between these locations to visit and support our portfolio of homes. You will need a driving licence and be prepared to travel and stay overnight with prior agreement. You are responsible for your own diary management to ensure homes are supported at appropriate times.
